After consulting with the Regional Water Quality Control Board and our Public Health Department, the Department of Environmental Health is recommending to the City of Jurupa Valley that the temporary closure of access to the Santa Ana River be lifted.

Approximately 7,000 vote-by-mail ballots are being mailed to voters for the Temescal Valley Water District mail ballot election on August 27. To be counted, completed ballots must be received at the Registrar of Voters office no later than 8 p.m. on Election Day, or be postmarked on or before Election Day and received no later than three days after Election Day.

The suit pertained to a youth diversion program to which parents, schools, resource officers and local law enforcement refer youth exhibiting at-risk behavior.
