Access to Santa Ana River restored, county and city officials provide safety reminders
After consulting with the Regional Water Quality Control Board and our Public Health Department, the Department of Environmental Health is recommending to the City of Jurupa Valley that the temporary closure of access to the Santa Ana River be lifted.
Riverside County health officials are investigating a report of two Orange County residents with Shigella bacteria in which a section of the Santa Ana riverbed may have been the source of the infection.
Facts and other information about the potentially fatal Ebola virus are available on a new web page from Riverside County health officials.
