Anyone interested in running for office in the June 3 primary election may file papers for candidacy until 5 p.m. Friday (March 7). If an incumbent fails to file, the deadline is extended for that office, for non-incumbents only, to 5 p.m. March 12

Vote-by-mail ballots for March 25 election on the way starting Monday

Approximately 78,000 vote-by-mail ballots will be mailed to voters starting Monday (Feb. 24) for the special primary election in the 23rd Senate District on March 25. Ballots should arrive in mailboxes by the end of the week. Voted ballots must be received by the Registrar of Voters office by 8 p.m. on March 25 to be counted in the upcoming election.
